5月1日に発表された米国の4月のISM製造業PMIは49.2となり、前月から1.1ポイント低下しました。 2カ月ぶりに50を下回りました。 50を下回る状況が続くのか、それとも短期間で50を超えるようになるのか、推移を見守りたいと思います。
同日、米国のFOMCは大方の事前予想通り政策金利の据え置きを決定しました。

The ISM manufacturing PMI for U.S. in April 2024, which was announced on May 1st 2024, was 49.2 percent, a fell by 1.1 percentage points from the previous month. It was less than 50 percent for the first time in two months. I think we should keep an eye on whether it remain below 50 or it become above 50 in a short period of time.
On the same day, the FOMC of U.S. decided to leave policy interest rate unchanged as predicted.
