12月16日に発表された10月の機械受注の民需（船舶・電力を除く）は、季節調整済で前月比2.1％増の8,700億円となりました。4カ月ぶりの増加で、2023年度月平均を上回りましたが、2022年度月平均を下回りました。
同日発表された10月の第3次産業活動指数は、季節調整済で102.3ポイント（2015年＝100）となり、前月比0.3％上昇しました。内訳をみると、前月比で個人向けサービスが0.4％減となりましたが、事業所向けサービスは0.2％増となりました。
同日発表された中国の11月の鉱工業生産は前年同月比5.4％増加しました。前月の5.3％増から若干加速しました。
同日発表された中国の11月の消費財の小売高は前年同月比3.0％増加しました。前月の4.8％増から大幅に減速しました。

The machinery orders from domestic private-sector ( excluding orders from ships and electric power companies) in the Japan in October 2024, which was announced on December 16th 2024, recorded JPY870 billion on a seasonally adjusted basis, a rose by 2.1 percent on the previous month. It rose for the first time in four months and it was more than FY2023 monthly average but it was less than FY2022 monthly average.
The index of tertiary industry activity in the Japan in October 2024, which was announced on the same day, was 102.3 points (2015=100) on a seasonally adjusted basis, a rose by 0.3 percent on the previous month. Looking at the breakdown of it, compared with the previous month, the personal services fell by 0.4 percent but the business service rose by 0.2 percent.
The industrial production in the China in November 2024, which was announced on the same day, increased by 5.4 percent on the same month a year earlier. It accelerated from 5.3 percent rose in the previous month slightly.
The total retail sales of consumer goods in the China in November 2024, which was announced on the same day, increased by 3.0 percent on the same month a year earlier. It slowed down from 4.8 percent rose in the previous month significantly.
