10月1日に発表された8月の有効求人倍率は季節調整済で1.23倍となり、前月より0.01ポイント低下しました。内訳をみると、例えば事務従事者は0.42倍であるのに対し、建設・採掘従事者は5.13倍など、職種による労働需給の二極化が進んでいるようです。
同日発表されたユーロ圏の9月の消費者物価指数(HICP)の速報値は前年同月比1.8％上昇となり、8月の2.2％上昇から大幅に低下しました。
同日発表された９月の米国のISM製造業PMIは47.2で前月と同水準でした。

The ratio of job openings to job applicants in the Japan in August 2024, which was announced on October 1st 2024, was 1.23 times on a seasonally adjusted basis, a fell by 0.01 points from the previous month. And looking at the breakdown of it, for example, the office worker was 0.42 times but the construction and mining worker was 5.13 times and so on. It looks like the labor market conditions due to different occupations are being polarized.
The preliminary estimation of consumer price index (by HICP) for euro area in September 2024, which was announced on the same day, rose by 1.8 percent on the same month a year earlier that significantly fell from 2.2 percent rose of August 2024.
The ISM manufacturing PMI for U.S. in September 2024, which was announced on the same day, was 47.2 percent and it's the same level as the previous month.
