The general government gross debt to GDP ratio in the euro area at the end of 2nd quarter of 2024, which was announced on October 22nd 2024, was 88.1 percent, a increased of 0.4 percent from the 1st quarter of 2024.
The government deficit to GDP ratio in the euro area in 2023, which was announced on the same day, was 3.6 percent, a increased from 3.5 percent in 2022.
