10月16日に発表された8月の機械受注の民需（船舶・電力を除く）は、季節調整済で前月比1.9％減の8,580億円となりました。前月比では2カ月連続の減少で、8月は前月に引き続き2023年度月次平均を上回りましたが、2022年度月次平均を下回りました。
同日発表された米国の9月の食品・燃料を除く全輸出品の輸出物価指数は116.5ポイント（2010年12月＝100）となり、前月比0.3％上昇しました。

The machinery orders from domestic private-sector ( excluding orders from ships and electric power companies) in the Japan in August 2024, which was announced on October 16th 2024, recorded JPY858 billion on a seasonally adjusted basis, a fell by 1.9 percent on the previous month. It fell for two consecutive months compared with the previous month and the value in August 2024 was more than FY2023 monthly average but less than FY2022 monthly average continued from the last month.
The export price index for all exports excluding food and fuels in the U.S. in September 2024, which was announced on the same day, was 116.5 points (Dec 2010=100), a rose by 0.3 percent on the previous month.
