The ZEW indicator of economic sentiment for Germany in August 2026, released on 18th August 2026, was plus 34.2 points, up from 26.3 points in July 2026.
Privately-owned housing starts in U.S. in July, released on the same day, were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1,239,000 units, down from 1,415,000 in June 2026.
Preliminary estimate of the pending home sales in U.S. in July, released on the same day, decreased by 2.3 percent month-over-month and 2.2 percent year-over-year.
Preliminary estimate of industrial production index in U.S. in July, released on the same day, was 103.0 points on a seasonally adjusted basis, a rose by 0.2 percent from the previous month.
