8月17日に公表された2026年第2四半期の実質GDPの1次速報値は、前四半期比0.3％増となりました。寄与率を見ると、内需が0.2％のマイナス、外需が0.5％のプラスでした。
同日に公表された2026年6月の第三次産業活動指数の季節調整値は106.7（2019-20年＝100）となり、前月比0.2％低下しました。内訳を見ると、広義対個人サービスは前月比マイナスとなった一方、広義対企業サービスはプラスとなりました。
同日に公表された中国の7月の鉱工業生産は、前年同月比4.5％増となり、2026年6月の同5.3％増から伸び率が鈍化しました。業種別に見ると、電気・熱・ガス・水供給業が5.0％増加しました。

First preliminary estimate of the real GDP of Japan in 2nd quarter of 2026, released on 17the August 2026, increased by 0.3 percent from the previous quarter. Looking at the breakdown of it's contribution rate, domestic demand was 0.2 percent decreased and external demand was 0.5 percent increased.
The index of tertiary industry activity for Japan in June 2026, released on the same day, was 106.7 points (2019-20=100) on a seasonally adjusted basis, an decreased by 0.2 percent from the previous month. In addition, individual was negative but corporate services was positive compared to the previous month.
The industrial production in the China in July , released on the same day, increased by 4.5 percent from the same month a year earlier, down from 5.3 percent in June 2026. Looking at the breakdown of industrial category, the sector for the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas, and water grew by 5.0 percent.
