7月18日に発表された米国の2025年7月のミシガン大学消費者信頼感指数は61.8ポイントで、前月比1.1ポイント上昇しましたが、前年同月比では6.9%低下しました。ミシガン大学は、「例えば貿易政策が予見可能な将来にわたって安定するなど、インフレが悪化する可能性が低いと消費者が確信しない限り、経済への信頼を取り戻す可能性は低い」と報告しました。

The University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index for the U.S. in July 2025, which was announced on 18th July 2025, was 61.8 points, a rose by 1.1 points from the previous month but fell by 6.9 percent from the same month a year earlier. The University of Michigan reported "Consumers are unlikely to regain their confidence in the economy unless they feel assured that inflation is unlikely to worsen, for example if trade policy stabilizes for the foreseeable future.".
