貿易収支、機械受注、ユーロ圏のインフレ率、米国の住宅着工戸数、FRBの金融政策決定_The trade balance of Japan, The machinery orders in the Japan, The inflation rate in the euro area, The housing starts in the U.S., Fed's decision for monetary policy

6月18日に発表された2025年5月の貿易収支は、季節調整値で3,055億円の赤字となり、輸出が増加し輸入が減少したため、前月比12.5%の赤字幅縮小となりました。

同日発表された2025年4月の機械受注の民需(船舶・電力を除く)は、季節調整値で前月比9.1%の大幅減少となり、3か月ぶりの減少となりました。しかし、今回の発表によると、海外からの受注は2025年3月の13.1%減から反転し、6.8%増加しました。

同日発表されたユーロ圏の2025年5月の年間インフレ率は1.9%で、2025年4月の2.2%から低下しました。

同日発表された米国の2025年5月の住宅着工戸数は、季節調整済年率換算125万6千戸で、前月比9.8%減少しました。

同日、FRBは「純輸出の変動がデータに影響を与えているものの、最近の指標は経済活動が引き続き堅調なペースで拡大していることを示唆している。失業率は依然として低く、労働市場の状況は堅調である。インフレ率はやや高めに推移している」として、政策金利を据え置いた。

The trade balance of Japan in May 2025, which was announced on 18th June 2025, was JPY305.5 billion deficit on a seasonally adjusted basis, a decreased by 12.5 percent from the previous month because exports increased and imports decreased.

The seasonally adjusted machinery orders from domestic private-sector ( excluding orders from ships and electric power companies) in the Japan in April 2025, which was announced on the same day, significantly decreased by 9.1 percent from the previous month. It decreased for the first time in three months. However, according to this announcement, the orders from overseas reversed and increased by 6.8 percent from 13.1 percent fall in March 2025.

The annual inflation rate in the euro area in May 2025, which was announced on the same day, was 1.9 percent, down from 2.2 percent in April 2025.

The housing starts in the U.S. in May 2025, which was announced on the same day, were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1,256 thousands of units, a decreased by 9.8 percent from the previous month.

On the same day, U.S. Fed decided to remain policy interest rate because they said "Although swings in net exports have affected the data, recent indicators suggest that economic activity has continued to expand at a solid pace. The unemployment rate remains low, and labor market conditions remain solid. Inflation remains somewhat elevated."
