11月1日に発表された米国の10月のISM製造業PMIは46.7となり、前月から2.3ポイント低下しました。 サブ指数の内訳をみると、生産指数が50.4と50を上回っただけで、新規受注指数が45.5など他の指数は50を下回りました。
米国FRBは同日、政策金利の据え置きを決定し、「最近の指標は経済活動が第3四半期に強いペースで拡大したことを示唆している」とする声明を発表しました。

The ISM manufacturing PMI for U.S. in October 2023, which was announced on November 1st 2023, was 46.7 percent, a fell by 2.3 percentage points from the previous month. Looking at the breakdown of it's sub index, the index of production was 50.4 percent that was above 50 percent only but other index, for example the index of new orders was 45.5 percent, were less than 50 percent.
On the same day, the Fed of U.S. decided to leaves their policy rates unchanged, and they published statement that said "Recent indicators suggest that economic activity expanded at a strong pace in the third quarter."
