The consumer price index for Japan in December 2021, which was announced on January 21th 2022, rose by 0.8 percent from the previous year same month. Looking at the breakdown of it, the motor fuels price index rose by 22.4 percent (YoY), and the non-processed foods price index rose by 8.0 percent (YoY), for example, the fresh onion price index rose by 59.8 percent (YoY).
