9月8日、公表された8月の景気ウォッチャー調査によれば、8月の現状判断DI（季節調整済）は34.7、前月から13.7ポイント低下しました。 内訳を見ると、家計動向関連DIは31.3、前月から15.9ポイント大幅に低下しました。
同日発表された米国の7月の消費者信用残高（季節調整済、年率）は前月から4.7％増加しました。

According to the economy watchers survey of Japan in August 2021, which was announced on September 8th 2021, the DI for current economic conditions in August 2021 (seasonally adjusted) was 34.7 percent, a fell by 13.7 percentage points from the previous month. Looking at the breakdown of it, the household activity-related DI was 31.3 percent, a fell by 15.9 percentage points significantly from the previous month.
Announced on the same day, the consumer credit outstanding of US in July 2021 (seasonally adjusted, annual rate) increased by 4.7 percent from the previous month.
