The unemployment insurance weekly number of applications of US (week ending March 28, seasonally adjusted), which was announced on April 2nd 2020, was 6,648,000, a rose by 3,341,000 from the previous week.
In general, this number has been understanding for a leading indicator of unemployment rate of US, and it suggested that there is a possibility of historical worst employment situation since 1967.
