9月16日に発表された2026年8月の貿易収支の速報値は、8千4百億円の赤字となりました。前月比では、輸出が0.3％増加、輸入が1.7％増加しました。
同日に発表された2026年7月の季節調整済の機械受注の民需（船舶・電力会社を除く）は、前月比3.7％減となりました。2026年6月の9.7％増から反転減少しました。
同日に発表されたユーロ圏の2026年8月の季節調整済の鉱工業生産は、前月比0.1％減となりました。
同日に発表された米国の2026年8月の小売・飲食売上高は季節調整値で7,739億米ドルとなり、前月比1.2％増加しました。
同日、米連邦公開市場委員会は、フェデラル・ファンド金利の誘導目標レンジを0.25ポイント引き上げ、3.75～4.00％とすることを決定しました。

Preliminary estimate of the trade balance of Japan in August 2026, released on 16th September 2026, was JPY840 billion deficit. Compared with the previous month, exports increased by 0.3 percent and imports increased by 1.7 percent.
The seasonally adjusted machinery orders from domestic private-sector ( excluding orders from ships and electric power companies) in the Japan in July 2026, released on the same day, decreased by 3.7 percent from the previous month. It reversed and decreased from 9.7 percent rose in June 2026.
The seasonally adjusted industrial production for euro area in August 2026, released on the same day, decreased by 0.1 percent from the previous month.
The retail and food services sales in U.S. in August 2026, released on the same day, was US$773.9 billion on a seasonally adjusted basis, an increased by 1.2 percent from the previous month.
On the same day, the Federal Open Market Committee of U.S. decided to raise the target range for the federal funds rate by 0.25 percentage point to 3-3/4 to 4 percent.
