10月16日に発表された2025年8月の季節調整済の機械受注の民需（船舶・電力を除く）は、前月比0.9%減少しました。前月比では2カ月連続の減少となりました。一方、外需は前月比28.4%増加し、2025年7月の8.4%減少から反転して増加に転じました。
同日発表されたユーロ圏の2025年8月の貿易収支の速報値は10億ユーロの黒字となり、2024年8月の30億ユーロの黒字から減少しました。

The seasonally adjusted machinery orders from domestic private-sector ( excluding orders from ships and electric power companies) in the Japan in August 2025, which was announced on 16th October 2025, decreased by 0.9 percent from the previous month. Compared with the previous month, it decreased for two consecutive months. And the machinery orders from overseas increased by 28.4 percent from the previous month and it reversed and increased from 8.4 percent decreased in July 2025.
The preliminary estimate of trade balance of euro area in August 2025, which was announced on the same day, was EUR1.0 billion surplus, down from EUR3.0 billion surplus in August 2024.
