9月17日に発表された2025年8月の貿易収支の速報値は、季節調整済で1,501億円の赤字となり、前月比48.7%の減少となりました。前月と比較すると、輸入と輸出の両方が減少しました。
同日、FRBは予想通り、フェデラルファンド金利の誘導目標レンジを0.25%ポイント引き下げ、4%から4.25%とすることを決定しました。
同日発表された米国の2025年8月の住宅着工戸数は、季節調整済で1,307千戸となり、前月比8.5%の減少となりました。

The preliminary estimate of trade balance of Japan in August 2025, which was announced on 17th September 2025, was JPY150.1 billion deficit on a seasonally adjusted basis, a decreased by 48.7 percent from the previous month. Compared with the previous month, both imports and exports decreased.
On the same day, the Fed decided to lower the target range for the federal funds rate by 0.25 percentage point to 4 to 4.25 percent as predicted.
The housing starts in the U.S. in August 2025, which was announced on the same day, was 1307 thousands of units on a seasonally adjusted basis, a decreased by 8.5 percent from the previous month.
