6月30日に公表された5月の鉱工業生産指数（2015年= 100、季節調整済、速報値）は94.1ポイント、前月比5.9％低下しました。 内訳を見ると、自動車工業は19.4％低下（前月比）しましたが、輸送機械工業（除く、自動車工業）は7.2％上昇（前月比）しました。
また、5月の在庫指数(同上)は93.1ポイント、1.7％低下（前月比）しました。内訳を見ると、自動車工業は32.5％低下（前月比）しましたが、鉄鋼・非鉄金属工業（例えば、鋼板製造）は3.8％上昇（前月比）しました。
同日発表された中国の6月の製造業PMI（季節調整済）は50.9、前月比0.1ポイント低下しました。また、中国のサービス業PMI（同上）は52.3、前月比2.0％ポイント低下しました。

The index of industrial production of Japan in May 2021 (CY2015=100, seasonally adjusted, preliminary figures), which was announced on June 30th 2021, was 94.1 points, a fell by 5.9 percent from the previous month. Looking at the breakdown of it, the industry of motor vehicles manufacturing fell by 19.4 percent (MoM), but the industry of transport equipment manufacturing (excluding motor vehicles) rose by 7.2 percent (MoM).
And the index of inventories for manufacturing industry of Japan in May 2021 (same as above) was 93.1 points, a fell by 1.7 percent (MoM). Looking at the breakdown of it, the industry of motor vehicles manufacturing fell by 32.5 percent (MoM), but the industry of iron, steel and non-ferrous metals manufacturing (for example steel sheet manufacturing) rose by 3.8 percent (MoM).
Announced on the same day, the manufacturing PMI of China in June 2021 (seasonally adjusted) was 50.9 percent, a fell by 0.1 percentage point from the previous month. And the services PMI of China in June 2021 (same as above) was 52.3 percent, a fell by 2.0 percentage point from the previous month.
