The trade balance of euro area in August 2019, which was announced on October 16th 2019, was surplus of € 14.7 bn, an increase of € 2.8 bn from the same month of previous year.
Looking at breakdown, it was as follows.
The euro area exports of goods to the rest of the world in August 2019 was € 177.4 bn , a decrease of 2.2% from the same month of previous year.
The euro area imports of goods in August 2019 was € 162.6 bn , a decrease of 4.1% from the same month of previous year.
