6月3日に発表された2024年1～3月期の法人企業統計調査によると、季節調整済の売上高は前期比0.4％減少しました。季節調整済みの設備投資は前期比4.2％減少しました。設備投資の減少は前期の10.7％増の反動かもしれませんが、売上高の減少は気になるところです。
同日発表された米国の5月のISM製造業PMIは前月比0.5ポイント減の48.7となりました。2カ月連続で50を下回りました。

According to the financial statements statistics of corporations in Japan for January-March quarter of 2024, which was announced on June 3rd 2024, the seasonally adjusted sales value fell by 0.4 percent from the previous quarter. And the seasonally adjusted capital expenditure fell by 4.2 percent from the previous quarter. The capital expenditure fall may be a reaction from the 10.7 percent rose of the previous quarter, but the sales fall bothers me.
Announced on the same day, the ISM manufacturing PMI for U.S. in May 2024 recorded 48.7 percent, a fell by 0.5 percentage points from the previous month. It was below 50 percent for two consecutive months.
