8月18日、公表された7月の貿易収支は4,410億円の黒字でした。
同日発表された、6月の機械受注の民需（船舶・電力会社を除く、季節調整済）は前月比1.5％減となりました。 また、外需は10.0％減少（前月比）しました。
また、ユーロ圏の7月のインフレの年率は2.2％、6月の1.9％から上昇しました。
また、米国の7月の住宅着工件数（季節調整済、年率、速報値）は、前月比7.0％減の1,534,000戸でした。

The trade balance of Japan in July 2021, which was announced on August 18th 2021, was JPY 441 billion in the black.
Announced on the same day, the machinery orders from domestic private-sector of Japan in June 2021 (excluding orders from ships and electric power companies, seasonally adjusted) fell by 1.5 percent from the previous month. And, the orders from overseas fell by 10.0 percent (MoM).
And, the annual inflation rate for euro-area in July 2021 was 2.2 percent, a rose from 1.9 percent in June.
And, the units of housing starts of US in July 2021 (seasonally adjusted annual rate, preliminary figures) was 1,534,000 units, a fell by 7.0 percent from the previous month.
