8月17日、公表された6月の第三次産業活動指数（2015年=100、季節調整済）は97.2ポイント、前月比2.3％上昇しました。内訳を見ると、対個人サービスは94.4ポイントで2.6％上昇（前月比）、対法人サービスは99.8ポイントで2.5％上昇（前月比）しました。
同日発表されたユーロ圏の2021年第2四半期のGDP（季節調整済）は、前四半期から0.5％増加しました。
また、米国の7月の小売売上高（季節調整済）は、前月比1.1％減少しました。内訳を見ると、自動車・部品は3.9％減少（前月比）、家具は0.6％減少（前月比）しましたが、外食・飲料は1.7％増加（前月比）増加しました。
また、米国の7月の鉱工業生産指数（2017年=100、季節調整済）は101.1ポイント、前月比0.9％上昇しました。

The index of tertiary industry activity of Japan in June 2021 (CY2015=100, seasonally adjusted), which was announced on August 17th 2021, was 97.2 points, a rose by 2.3 percent from the previous month. Looking at the breakdown, the individual service industry was 94.4 points, a rose by 2.6 percent (MoM), and the business services industry was 99.8 points, a rose by 2.5 percent (MoM).
Announced on the same day, the GDP (seasonally adjusted) of Euro-area in the second quarter of 2021 rose by 0.5 percent from the previous quarter.
And, the retail sales value (seasonally adjusted) of US in July 2021 fell by 1.1 percent from the previous month. Looking at the breakdown of it, the motor vehicle & parts dealers sales fell by 3.9 percent (MoM), the furniture & home furniture stores sales fell by 0.6 percent (MoM), but the food services & drinking places sales rose by 1.7 percent (MoM).
And, the index of industrial production of US in July 2021 (2017=100, seasonally adjusted) was 101.1 points, a rose by 0.9 percent from the previous month.
