6月3日に発表された2025年5月のマネタリーベース平均残高は656兆円で、前年同月比3.4%減少しました。前年同月比では9ヶ月連続の減少となりました。
これは、昨年7月の金融政策決定会合で決定された方針に基づき、日銀の毎月の国債購入額が保有国債の償還額を下回っていることが影響していると思います。
同日発表されたユーロ圏の2025年5月の年間インフレ率は1.9%で、2025年4月の2.2%から低下しました。

The average amounts outstanding of monetary base in the Japan in May 2025, which was announced on 3rd June 2025, was JPY656 trillion, a decreased by 3.4 percent from the same month a year earlier. Compared with the same month a year earlier, it decreased for nine consecutive months.
I think it is affecting that based on the policy decided at its monetary policy meeting in July last year, the BOJ's monthly purchases of Japanese government bonds are lower than redemption amount of JGB they held.
The annual inflation rate for euro area in May 2025, which was announced on the same day, was 1.9 percent, down from 2.2 percent in April 2025.
