6月2日に発表された2025年第1四半期の法人企業統計調査によると、金融保険業を除き、前年同期比で、売上高は4.3%増、設備投資は6.4%増となったものの、在庫率は0.3ポイント低下しました。
設備投資が増加した点では、景況感は好調を示唆しています。一方、在庫率が低下した点では、景況感は悪化を示唆しています。日本企業は経済情勢をどう捉えるか迷っているのだと推定します。
同日発表された2025年5月の米国ISM製造業PMIは48.5となり、前月比0.2ポイント低下しました。3カ月連続で50を下回りました。

According to the financial statements statistics of corporations for Japan in 1st quarter of 2025, which was announced on 2nd June 2025, excluding the financial industry, compared with the same quarter of previous year, the sales value increased by 4.3 percent and the capital expenditure increased by 6.4 percent but the inventory-sales ratio decreased by 0.3 points.
In that the capital expenditure increased, the corporate sentiment suggests positive. But in that the inventory-sales ratio decreased, suggests negative. I assumed that Japanese companies wavering how to view the economic situation.
The ISM manufacturing PMI for U.S. in May 2025, which was announced on the same day, was 48.5 percent, a fell by 0.2 percentage points from the previous month. It was less than 50 percent for three consecutive months.
