The working-day and seasonally adjusted GDP of France in the 4th quarter of 2024, which was announced on January 30th 2025, fell by 0.1 percent on the previous quarter after 0.4% rose in the 3rd quarter. The Insee says "as a backlash of the impact of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, which had boosted growth in the third quarter"
The price, seasonally and calendar adjusted GDP of Germany in the 4th quarter of 2024, which was announced on the same day, fell by 0.2 percent on the previous quarter after 0.1% rose in the 3rd quarter.
The seasonally adjusted GDP in the euro area in the 4th quarter of 2024, which was announced on the same day, was unchanged on the previous quarter after 0.4% rose in the 3rd quarter.
On the same day, the European Central Bank decided to lower the policy interest rate by 25 basis points.
The pending home sales index in the U.S. in December 2024, which was announced on the same day, was 74.2 points, a fell by 5.5 percent on the previous month after 1.6 percent rose in November 2024.
