2月15日に発表された2023年10～12月期の実質GDPは前期比、年率0.4％減少となりました。２四半期連続で減少しており、欧米の一般的な基準からは景気後退と言えます。
同日発表されたユーロ圏の2023年12月の貿易収支は659億ユーロの黒字となりました。 前月に比べ、輸入は13.5％減少、輸出は1.2％減少しました。
また、米国の1月の小売・外食の売上高は季節調整済で7,002億ドルとなり、前年同月比0.6％増加しましたが、前月比0.8％減少しました。

The real GDP for Japan in October-December quarter of 2023, which was announced on February 15th 2024, fell by an annual rate of 0.4 percent from the previous quarter. It fell for two consecutive quarters and it can be called an economic recession by general western standards.
Announced on the same day, the trade balance of Euro-area in December 2023 was €65.9 billion surplus. The imports fell by 13.5 percent and the exports fell by 1.2 percent from the previous month.
And the retail and food services sales value in U.S. in January 2024 were a seasonally adjusted of US$700.2 billion, a rose by 0.6 percent from the same month a year earlier but a fell by 0.8 percent from the previous month.
