5月31日に発表された4月の鉱工業生産指数は、季節調整値で95.5ポイント（2015年＝100）となり、前月比0.4％低下しました。 しかし、季節調整済の在庫指数は104.0ポイントとなり、前月比0.3％上昇しました。
同日発表された4月の小売売上高は季節調整値で前月比1.2％減少しました。
同日発表された最新の消費動向調査によれば、5月の消費者態度指数（調査対象：二人以上の世帯、季節調整値）は36.0ポイントとなり、前月比0.6ポイント上昇しました。2023年1月から上昇傾向にあります。
また、同日発表された中国の5月の製造業PMIは48.8となり、前月比0.4ポイント低下しました。

The index of industrial production in Japan in April 2023, which was announced on May 31th 2023, was a seasonally adjusted figures of 95.5 points (2015=100), a fell by 0.4 percent from the previous month. But, the index of inventories for industry was a seasonally adjusted figures of 104.0 points, a rose by 0.3 percent from the previous month.
Announced on the same day, the seasonally adjusted value of retail sales in Japan in April 2023 fell by 1.2 percent from the previous month.
According to the latest consumer confidence survey for Japan, which was announced on the same day, the consumer confidence index for May 2023 (survey target : households of two or more person. seasonally adjusted figures) was 36.0 points, a rose by 0.6 points from the previous month. It has been upward trend from January 2023.
And the manufacturing PMI for China in May 2023, which was announced on the same day, was 48.8 percent, a fell by 0.4 percentage points from the previous month.
